Celebrate life’s precious moments in style. You bring the guests and we have got the rest.Rasha Design House designs and produces birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, baby showers, quinceaneras, galas and private events across Houston.
You already know how it goes. You plan something lovely for someone you love, and then you spend the whole evening in the kitchen doorway watching the door for the caterer, refilling things, wondering whether anyone told the photographer about the cake.
You were meant to be at the party. You were the reason for it, or you were standing next to the reason for it, and you missed most of it.
That is the whole argument for hiring a planner for a private event. Not the design, although the design is the part people notice. The reason is that somebody who is not you should be running the evening so you can be inside it.

Quinceaneras
The biggest and most detailed social event we produce. Court choreography and rehearsal, the changing of the shoes, the ceremony, the entrance, the vals, the toast, the photographs and a room that has to hold three hundred people and still feel personal. Quinceaneras carry a lot of family expectation and a long running order, which is exactly the kind of event that falls apart without a real timeline.

Milestone birthdays
Fortieth, fiftieth, sixtieth, ninetieth. Usually planned by someone other than the guest of honour, often as a surprise, which adds a whole layer of logistics around arrival times and who knows what.

Anniversaries
Including vow renewals, which are effectively weddings with a longer story and a guest list that already knows each other.

Baby showers
Smaller rooms, tighter design, and a guest of honour who should be sitting down.

Graduations
Compressed timelines by nature, because the date is fixed by a school calendar and every venue in the city is booked by families in the same position.

Galas and private events
Fundraising evenings hosted privately, holiday gatherings, engagement parties and dinners where the guest list is the whole point.
The service is scaled to the event, which is the honest answer, but the components are consistent.
Venue sourcing and contracting, or coordination with a venue you have already chosen. Catering and bar, with menu development and tasting. Full design direction: florals, linens, tabletop, lighting, signage, stationery, dance floor and any built pieces. Entertainment and music. Photography and video. Rentals and staffing. A running order that everyone works from. On-site management for the whole event, including load-in and load-out.
For smaller gatherings some of that collapses into a shorter list. For a two hundred guest quinceanera, none of it does.
Rasha holds a design degree from Rutgers, and the studio was built around the idea that a room should be decided as one thing rather than assembled out of separate purchases.
Some of what that looks like in practice, taken from work already in our gallery: gold rim chargers with watercolour napkins and wax seal place cards on chiffon runners. Tall pastel centrepieces with candles running down wooden tables. A custom dance floor carrying a monogram or a geometric pattern, which changes the largest surface in the room for less than most hosts expect. Crystal candelabras against farm tables. A seating chart built to look like a wall of books.
Private events give more room to be specific than weddings do, because the guest list is smaller and you know everyone in it. A fiftieth for thirty people can be designed around one person’s actual life instead of a general idea of elegance, and it should be.
Social events are quoted per event. A dinner for thirty and a quinceanera for two hundred are both social events and almost nothing about producing them is the same, so a published package would mislead you in one direction or the other.
Our planning fee is fixed and written into the proposal before you commit to anything. Vendor costs sit separately and are paid to the vendors. We do not take commission, so a recommendation from us is a recommendation and nothing else.
A short call first: what the occasion is, when, roughly how many people and roughly what you want to spend. We will tell you what is realistic, including when the honest answer is that the date is too close for what you are describing. Then a written proposal with a fixed fee and a defined scope. Then the build, with a single point of contact and a clear list of what needs deciding when. Then the event, where we arrive first, run the evening and leave last. You attend your own party.
Houston and the surrounding towns, including Tomball, Spring, Cypress, Katy, Sugar Land and The Woodlands. Our published work includes venues in Houston, Tomball, Spring, Cypress, Bryan and Corpus Christi. Ask about anywhere else.
Yes. Quinceaneras are one of the most detailed events we produce, with a long running order covering the court, the ceremony, the entrance, the vals and the formal moments in between, plus a guest list that is often larger than a wedding. We handle the venue, the vendors, the design and the rehearsal, and we run the evening so the family can be present at it.
There is no fixed minimum guest count. What matters more is the scope of the work. Below a certain level of production the planning fee stops making sense for you, and we will say so on the first call rather than take the booking. Tell us the occasion and the budget range and you will get a straight answer.
Yes, and it changes the logistics rather than the design. Arrival timing, parking, vendor load-in that cannot be seen from the road, and a very short list of people who know the real schedule. We have run these before and the planning is a good deal more precise, not less.
For a large quinceanera or a milestone birthday, six to nine months gives you a real choice of venue. Graduations and December events need more notice than people expect because everyone else is booking the same weekend. Smaller gatherings can move faster. If your date is close, call rather than email.
We source, quote and contract the caterer and bar service, run the tasting with you, and manage them on the day against the running order. We do not cater ourselves, which means we can put the right kitchen on your event rather than the one we own.
Tell us who we are celebrating and when. The first conversation is free and ends with an honest read on what your date and budget will support.
